Section 1
Who we are and what this policy covers
Cornerstone Kansas City, LLC (“Cornerstone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) explains in this Privacy Policy how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed in connection with cornerstoneclearpath.com, including its www version (the “Website”), and inquiries, consultations, and resources requested through the Website.
This policy addresses Website interactions. Insurance applications, policies, claims, surety services, and employee benefit arrangements may involve additional information and separate privacy notices or legal requirements. This policy does not replace a required insurance customer privacy notice, a health plan notice of privacy practices, or a notice provided by an insurer, employer, financial-services firm, or other provider. If a separate notice applies to particular information, that notice and applicable law govern that information.
Section 2
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you contact us, request a consultation, or request a resource, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, company, job title, insurance interests, subject, message, and other information you choose to send. We also receive information when you communicate with us about your request.
Information collected through technology. Our Website uses Framer technology and includes Google Analytics. Website and analytics technologies may collect internet protocol (IP) addresses, device and browser information, online identifiers, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interaction information. See Section 5 for tracking technologies and choices.
Information related to requested services. If your inquiry progresses to a quote, application, or service engagement, we may need additional information about you, your business, property, vehicles, employees, dependents, finances, or insurance and claims history. Depending on the service and applicable law, this may include sensitive information. We may receive relevant information from you, your authorized representative, your employer or plan sponsor, insurers, or other authorized service participants. Separate notices may apply.
Please do not enter Social Security numbers, payment-card details, account passwords, medical records, or other sensitive information in a general Website contact form or ordinary email. Contact us to arrange an appropriate way to provide information needed for your request. If you provide information about another person, you should have authority to do so.
Section 3
How we use information
We use information, as relevant to your interaction and permitted by law, to:
- Respond to inquiries, deliver requested resources, arrange consultations, and communicate about your requests.
- Evaluate your needs and assist with requested insurance, benefits, surety, or related services.
- Operate, maintain, understand, and improve the Website and its content.
- Protect the Website and our business, investigate misuse, and maintain records needed for legal, regulatory, and business purposes.
- Provide relevant service information or marketing communications where permitted and consistent with your choices.
Requesting a report alone is not agreement to receive sales calls or automated marketing texts. Where separate permission is required, that permission must be obtained separately.
Section 4
How information may be disclosed
We may disclose information for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable law and any separate notice that governs the information:
- Service providers. Website hosting, form delivery, email, analytics, technology support, and other vendors that help operate the Website or handle requests. Framer supports Website functions, and Google supports analytics.
- Requested service participants. Appropriate agency personnel and, when needed for services you request, insurers, wholesale brokers, sureties, benefit providers, employers or plan sponsors, administrators, and other authorized participants.
- Related businesses and referrals. A related business or referral recipient when needed to handle your request or when you direct or authorize the referral, subject to applicable restrictions.
- Legal and protective purposes. Regulators, courts, law enforcement, professional advisers, or other recipients when required or permitted by law, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, address fraud or security incidents, or respond to lawful process.
- Business transactions. Parties and advisers involved in a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable legal restrictions and appropriate confidentiality protections.
An insurer or another provider may independently use information under its own privacy notice and legal obligations. We do not use this policy to expand disclosures of insurance or health information beyond what applicable law permits.
Section 5
Cookies, analytics, and browser choices
Cookies and similar technologies can store identifiers or preferences, support Website operation, and measure how visitors use the Website. Google Analytics is configured on the Website to support usage measurement. Analytics providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Google explains its use of information from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect Website functions, and a browser setting may not control every type of data collection. Choices may need to be repeated on each browser or device. Browser Do Not Track signals and legally recognized opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, are different mechanisms.
- Website response to browser Do Not Track signals:
- Our Website does not currently change its data collection practices in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
- Website response to legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control:
- We process legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising, as required by applicable law.
- Sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted-advertising practices:
- We do not sell website leads as lead lists or provide them to other businesses for their independent marketing. We disclose information to service providers and other authorized parties as described in this policy.
Some third-party technologies may be capable of recognizing a browser or device over time and across websites. Whether an analytics or advertising disclosure is legally a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” depends on the actual configuration, contractual arrangements, and applicable law.
Section 6
Links and third-party services
The Website links to services outside this Website, including insurance quoting at quote.quotamation.com and financial services at ckcwealth.com. When you follow a link or enter information on an external service, the operator’s privacy notice and terms apply to its collection and use of information. Review those notices before providing information. This policy applies to information Cornerstone receives and handles; it does not describe every practice of another operator.
Section 7
Communications and your choices
You may ask us to correct your contact information or stop marketing communications by using the contact details in Section 12. You may also use an unsubscribe mechanism included in a marketing email. Opting out of marketing does not prevent communications necessary to respond to your request, service a policy or account, or meet legal obligations.
Providing a telephone number or accepting this Privacy Policy is not, by itself, consent to automated marketing calls or texts. If you separately enroll in a text-message program, its enrollment disclosures and terms apply. You may revoke consent through a reasonable method, including replying STOP to a marketing text where available or contacting us. A privacy-policy acknowledgment is not a substitute for required communications consent.
Section 8
Retention and security
Our retention decisions take into account the purpose of collection, the status of your inquiry or relationship, applicable insurance and other recordkeeping requirements, limitation periods, disputes, and legitimate operational needs. Different categories of information may be kept for different periods. Information may need to be retained when a legal obligation or dispute prevents deletion.
We take reasonable steps designed to protect personal information, but no website, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure. Do not send sensitive information through a general Website inquiry form. Nothing in this policy guarantees that unauthorized access or an incident cannot occur.
Section 9
Privacy requests and state-law rights
Depending on where you live, the information involved, and whether a particular law applies, you may have rights to obtain information about our processing, access or obtain a copy of personal information, request correction or deletion, or opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. Some laws also provide rights to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information or appeal a denied request. These rights are subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements. Insurance and other regulated information may be governed by different rights and notices.
To make a request, contact us using Section 12 and explain the request and your state of residence. Do not include sensitive identity documents in an initial email. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, authority, or an authorized agent’s request. We will handle requests and any available appeal under applicable law, including its response deadlines and limits. If you wish to appeal a denial where an appeal is available, contact us and identify the decision you are appealing. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
This policy does not waive any statutory right. Where an additional jurisdiction-specific notice or collection notice is legally required, it must be provided in addition to this policy.
Section 10
Children and international visitors
The Website is intended for adults seeking business or personal services and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Website, contact us. Information about dependents provided by an authorized adult for benefits or insurance services is handled under the notices and law applicable to those services.
The Website is intended for a United States audience. Interacting with our U.S. business may involve processing information in the United States or in locations used by relevant service providers. Privacy protections may differ by jurisdiction. Your visit to the Website is not treated as a waiver of rights or as consent to a transfer that requires separate legal authorization.
Section 11
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in Website practices or applicable requirements. The revised policy will be posted on the Website with an updated date. When applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide that notice or obtain that consent. Review the policy periodically for current information.
